Who We Are

Campus Bible Ministries is a bunch of Jesus-believing, Bible-reading students at Western Sydney Uni. We believe that knowing Jesus, loving Jesus, and sharing Jesus is the most important thing we can do in life. We welcome people from any background or belief who want to join us as we look into God’s great news about Jesus.

At CBM Penrith we run

  • Daily Bible studies to grow in our relationship and knowledge of God, or to investigate Christianity for the first time
  • A weekly Public Bible talk at Thursday 1-2 where we gather together to hear from God’s Word and hang out
  • Weekly training time where we share a meal and grow in skills for Christian living, ministry and theology
  • Meet one-to-one with another Christian student or staff to discuss God, life; read the Bible and pray together

All our events will start from week 2. To find out times, come visit our Week 1 Stall or BBQ.

What We Believe

CBM is an affiliate of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES), a nationwide organisation of Christian uni student groups.

The AFES upholds the fundamental truths of the Christian faith, including:

  • The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
  • The universal sinfulness and guilt of humanity since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
  • The conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the virgin Mary.
  • Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
  • The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him or her repentance towards God, and faith in Jesus Christ.
  • The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
  • The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
